I've been building businesses for over 20 years. I've raised money, lost money, nearly burned out, raised three teenagers, been married for 19 years. Somewhere along the way I fell back in love with the work.

Not because I finally "made it out." I'm still running Float, still in startup mode, still knowing there is more to come.

What changed for me over the past few years was the realisation that what we all want is peace.

And after a certain level of health and financial stability is achieved - having more stuff or more success don't help with that.

So this is less about the hustle culture, more reflection along the way.

What this newsletter is

I'm committing to writing here every week for a year. 50 posts. Not polished thought leadership. Not content designed to convert. Just honest attempts to figure out how to hold ambition and peace at the same time.

Some weeks it might be a lesson from 20 years of building. Some weeks it might be a question I can't answer. Some weeks it might be a few lines.

This is for you if you're still in it, still want more, but suspect there's another way to carry the whole thing.
